Impending December

It's been almost three months since my last post and currently in awe at how fast the year has gone! Weather's been wonderful the past week with a touch of humidity but turned to shits in the past few days where it's all been rain, rain, and rain haha.

Anway, the rain's given me an opportunity to be a hermit and explore a few new tracks online.

Have stumbled across an artist called Frank Ocean, whose basically an American singer-songwriter from New Orleans. He's penned songs for Brandy, John Legend and Beyonce, but released a mixtape earlier this year called nostalgia, ULTRA. It is freaking awesome! Check it out when you have a chance.

Some tracks you might recognise floating around...

Novocane. Very explicit track. Haha, listen and you will know what I mean - nice beat though.

Swim Good. Another unusual track but just as good.

Also, in recent weeks Drake has released a new album titled Take Care.

Whilst I don't think it's as good as his earlier work, I still think that there's some standout tracks worth listening to like Practice, Crew Love and Make Me Proud.

Ushering the first days of Spring

The past two weeks have been so so good. Really happy with how things are going right now, with the exception of my door handle breaking from the inside - dang it! Totally random, unexpected and ended up with this bit of plastic in my hand rather than attached to the door. Ooops...

Other than that, the weather has been awesome as well. The sky is this beautiful blue with clouds here and there and the warmth of the sun has been incredible. I had two days off in a row mid week and so randomly bought a bike! Haha I walked it to have a look, mildly curious, and ended up walking out with a new bike vintage styles and with this beautiful rustic red frame.

I've been riding it around the place, to and from the station as well as to my friend's house in Claremont Meadows. It took about 50 minutes to get back home but the initial journey to his place took like an hour and a half because I was biking around the wrong entry point. Seriously, I was going nuts on my bike - not a pretty sight hahah! But still good fun :) Thank GOSH for mobile phones... I would have been stuffed otherwise in some random street in Claremont Meadows like three streets away from his place :)

Why did I buy a bike?

To be honest, I'm not quite so sure but what I do know is that it's like becoming a kid again. When I was younger I was such an avid ride - I'd almost forgotten. I was almost scared when I jumped on the bike to test ride it that I'd totally forgotten how to ride... But the moment I stepped on it was fine - the weirdest feeling.

My dad would take myself, my little sister and my big sis out to the streets and the four of us would just cycle - four in a row. To the most random places but it was fun and it was a good memory. Plus I love that feeling of just hurting uphill and feeling the breeze on my skin as I go downhill.

Frick! Let's just say that it is awesome :)

In other news I've fallen in love with collecting cute, little bright earrings. Alot of girls are into their diamonds, their pearls but for me, I love the little cute earrings which are a bit random and bright. Haha, you really ought to see my earring rack - it will honestly hurt your eyes :)

And finally my favourite is my Pac Man pair.

I love that they are not the same on each side and are a bit kooky and unexpected. Normally people do a double take and ask me, 'Are you wearing Pac Mac earrings?'

Haha. Yes I am :)

Miss M.I.A

I've been M.I.A for a while but just been keeping myself busy with work and bumming around :) Work's been going really well. We've been on an awesome streak where we're pushing early or on time so I'm on cloud nine!

Otherwise I've come across some really awesome tracks like the following. Have been nuking the replay button big time! Haha.

Work out by J. Cole. I heard it on Clinton' Spark's Smashtime Radio segment on 96.1 and was hooked immediately.

All I Want is You - Miguel featuring J. Cole. Can I just say that Miguel is freaking awesome! Check out his other songs like Sure Thing and Quickie.

I've also entered the world of online shopping and gone nuts on some Motel Rocks dresses.

Loving this dress and it's 60s mod look. Immediately pressed BUY when I saw it!

This coral dress was also something I bought. It's gorgeous isn't it? I like how it has the black intricate pattern on the shoulders and fittedness throughout. Very cute!

High on colour

So excited about things right now :) I was a bit down for a while but I think I'm out of my slump. Been catching up with work, getting on top of things, seeing my friends and family and listening to some awesome music whenever I have the chance.

One track I'm loving is You make me feel...  by Cobra Starship featuring Sabi. This song is so contagious and when I'm at check in I'm on cloud nine humming this track to mýself. Even when I'm being abused and called awful names by randoms I'm still smiling and thinking about this song lol. Yes, call me nuts aye? ;)

Also I'm LOVING the colour hot pink! I'm letting my nails grow and for the first time in my life I'm taking pride in my nails ahaha!

Boyce Avenue

I've been on cloud nine lately having recently rediscovered a few bands that I used to love when I was younger.

You know that feeling you have when you hear a beautiful song and you feel immediately lighter? That is how I feel when I hear Boyce Avenue's covers, as well as David Franj's wonderful track Perfect.

Two songs you really ought to listen to by Florida based band Boyce Avenue - U2 cover 'With or Without You' and also Tracy Chapman's poignant ballad 'Fast Car.'

I really love the track Perfect by Australian signer songwrite David Franj.

It was released a while ago but the song itself still makes me shiver. It's really romantic and captures how deep someone can feel about something. I love that its so understated and then escalates as the song progresses. It's lovely. I hope you enjoy it :)

Brights

It's been a while since I've blogged but happy to be back :)

Things that have happened since my last post:

Came back from Thailand where I holidayed for 2 weeks. It was so good! I went with two of my friends and absolutely loved Bangkok to the maximus. I'm itching to head back again and buy even more stuff than I did the first time. The cuts, the makes and the kookiness of the pieces I found in Platinum, Thailand's biggest wholesale clothing store was insane. I bought heaps of cute shoes that you can't possibly find in Australia plus spotty pants and the nicest sundress with grey and pink feathers.

In my head:

Currently in love with the following track by Drake - Trust Issues. It's a beautiful track and mellow, which is what I love most when it comes to his repetoire of tracks.

Also keen on Nicole Scherzinger's make up as featured in her new track Right There.

I was absolutely captivated by her yellow eye shadow in the above clip. It's bright, unusual and daring which I like!

Peony Pink!

Today I went shopping by myself and was sooooo happy because:

ONE. I bought the cutest lipstick in the sweetest shade - Maybelline Peony Pink Color Sensational Lipstick and;

TWO. I finally came across the puffy vest I've been looking for for YONKS in none other than good ol' Target!

Yes, twas an exciting day! ;)

Maybelline Peony Pink Color Sensational Lipstick

I love this lip colour! I nabbed it for 14 dollars at Kmart and was immediately drawn to its brightness and frosted white tones and gold shimmer. Also I love how it's so fresh and flirty- definitely something I can depend on to brighten my day if I'm feeling down and out at work.

The case itself is so cute too! Very well designed by Maybelline - kudos to you guys!

Words of wisdom from scripted television

"The most important relationship you have in your life is your relationship with yourself. Because no matter what happens, you will always be with yourself."

That statement is so true. You might find yourself attracted to trashbags, associating with trashbags, believing the words and lies of trashbags but your focus should be on treating yourself as you would a friend.

Why are we kinder to our friends and to dooshbags than we are to ourselves?

When Whitney walked away from Jay in the first season of TV series The City, it was a small but meaningful victory for her. In a random way I felt like I could relate to her and her experience.

After I finished uni, I wanted to do things and find what made me happy and productive. Along the way I got caught up with things and involved with people who didn't treat me so well and put up with a lot of shit. I went overseas before all that for two months thinking that an epiphany would occur showing me what I should do but that never came.

One thing I've learnt from my experiences and from others is that epiphanies don't occur when you need or expect them the most. You'll be overseas wandering in a country's cold, tens of thousands of miles away from your family during a time where people are with their families and the things that should occur to you never come. You'll be walking for hours from one place to another by yourself on a long highway from inland to beach, or sitting on a train for 42 hours crossing borders and still have no idea what makes you happy.

Maybe I think too much but maybe I'm expecting to find something or meet someone who will teach me something I don't know about myself.

You have a vague idea of what you'd like but alot of the time, you're wandering aimlessly or simply killing time waiting for some dawning of knowledge to occur. I have an idea of what I'm somewhat good at but I don't know what makes me happy. I just know that what I'm currently doing isn't that.

I feel like I'm coming full circle. I'm about to embark on another trip overseas with my friends to Bali, to Thailand, to where ever and scared that this epiphany or realisation will never come.

I'm not sure what I expect from this trip but I know if it's escapism I'm looking for that will not be the best thing to hope for.

People travel for different reasons. Some go to seek novel experiences, others to feel uncomfortable and others as a means of escape from the mundanity of their everyday life.

I used to seek the latter thinking that the best thing for someone like me was to leave for a while because there's nothing that really attaches me to this place. But over the past few years I realise that I value my immediate family and friends and the thought of not being around them makes me sad. Life doesn't go on forever so we should spend as much time in the presence of people who we love and love us the most.

So I guess I'm not going overseas for this reason. I think I'm just trying to say timeout from my life.

You could be the talk/ I could be the walk

In the past few days I've come across a song which I've fallen in absolute love with. Honestly, I haven't listened to a song as many times as I have with Miguel's track Sure Thing.

I'm hooked with the lyrics. They're quite witty and I like how it's a succession of cute metaphors as an ode of Miguel's affections for a girl. Also, something about the chords reminds me of the 90s - a throwback on my primary school days ;)

Life has been hectic. Planning on going overseas for my leave next month so I'm really excited! Ideally, I want to go to Thailand - to Bangkok, to Phuket and Bali as well - and hopefully with a couple of my friends as well! It'll be interesting to venture overseas and not quite knowing what to expect...! I think that's half the fun :)

I'm interested in flying with Malaysian low cost carrier Air Asia again. I've only ever flew with them twice - last year when we flew from Hanoi, Vietnam to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and then from KL to Mel on an A330 - but it was a great experience!

Quite a few aspects of the airline remind me of Jetstar which for me is pretty intriguing. The aircrafts we utilise mirror each other exactly - both airlines use Airbuses for their flights - but the product is different.

Air Asia has a greater selection of food choices on board and the entertainment system is more comprehensive. Also the uniform is made salient by the hot red, rather than the bright orange Jetstar is defined by.

The female cabin crew are also quite different in that they are allowed to wear their hair out, as long as it is tidy and well groomed. For Jetstar and all of the airlines who fly out of Sydney International, I have not seen one cabin crew or ground staff member wear their hair loose! To be honest, I was initially shocked but also pleasantly surprised :)

Regardless, I definitely recommend choosing Air  Asia if you're looking to fly within Asia. Not only is the product good value - it is a low cost carrier with the expectation of good service - but it operates routes which are very convenient especially when you're looking to fly throughout Asia! Definitely can't wait to fly with them again :)

Whites and brights

It's been a while since my last post so apologises for that! Work has been nuts and haven't really had a chance to rest but tonight is the tonight I've had a chance to shill and veg out! :)

In between work, I've been trashing out watching Laguna Beach, The Hills and Keeping up with the Kardashians so think what you will! I don't know what it is about those shows but I think it's living through them vicariously ;)

Anyway, some things that have caught my eye in the past few weeks:

Selena Gomez and this cute little number - I especially like the texture of her top and its pairing with the aqua shoes - very fresh!

Kate Bosworth with this outfit - Whilst the colour of her shift dress doesn't sit so well with most people, I think this shade looks great on her, plus coupled with the leather black shoes which add an edginess to the outfit. Very very cool methinks!

Finally Whitney Port's look has me hooked. This outfit below is both cute yet thoughtful - pastels in shades of lilac and pink look extremely hot together!

Autumn approaching...

Autumn is such a lovely season.

There's a chilliness about it that's refreshingly biting and I love that coats, pullovers and beanies start to reappear in public.

I went shopping today on my day off work. Checked out Parramatta Westfield and all the shops were rolling out their Autumn/Winter ranges!

Highlights:

** Coming across this cute Mohair Pointelle Pullover in Portmans.

I love the close fitting nature of this piece, plus the knit detail is absolutely gorgeous. Can't wait to wear this during the first chilly day of Autumn. Seriously, I walked out of the store the first time not quite knowing which colour to buy this pullover in (it comes in this colour, plus a light grey), but I immediately came back 10 minutes later because I couldn't get the piece out of my head! Haha. Ended up getting the jumper in the above shade because it has more colour :)

** Stumbling across a very adorable beige Popcorn Beanie in Kookai.

I will take a photo of it as soon as I can but for now, take my word for it - it is such a great find for $30AU. The popcorn stitching is very unusual but cute and the design of the beanie itself is nifty as well. The sides actually extend so that it covered your ears!!

Finally something I've been trying to look for for years has been a sleeveless quilted puffer jacket! They are not very common at all in Australia retail stores. I have searched far and wide for these cute pieces but no such luck as yet. If anyone knows where to find it, let me know and I will be there in a heartbeat ;) Haha. Perfect to wear over a simple closefitted long sleeve top. Although I'm not a fan of fur hoodie so without it makes the piece must better I think!

TiMer: A good or not so good idea?

I was in the video store the other day and came across a little indie movie which looked really intriguing. It was called TiMer and the basic storyline was of a 29 year old women who was looking for her soulmate in a society where people over the ages of 14 could have implanted in their wrists timers which counted down to the day they'd meet their soulmate. The moment you set eyes on your mate, both you and your soulmate's timers will go off simultaneously.

Now the catch is not every timer implanted reflects a countdown to meeting your soulmate. Many are blank and that's because a person's timer will not commence counting down UNTIL their soulmate implants their own timer.

That, my friend, lies the twist.

Now this movie got me thinking. Say we existed in such a world and the following happened: What would you do if you met someone you had a connection to, but knew that based on this timer system, that he was not The One? What would you do?

One might argue that it wouldn't be worth the investment. Love is after all about investment (to an extent). Putting in the hard yards, the effort, the care to create something meaningful with someone you share a connection with. If you knew for a fact that he had his own soulmate (as you did) and that he would meet her in say 156 days 16 minutes and 37 seconds, would you be prepared to suffer the heartbreak, pain and eventual separation from him should you accidentally fall for him in the process of being with him in the here and now?

Would you take that detour knowing that you'd definitely lose him to another in precisely that many days?

The premise of the film is so interesting. I mean love is something we can all agree is incredibly uncertain but what would you do if you knew with certainty you were not to be with someone?

Humans are odd creatures. Perhaps like Oona you choose to pursue the relationship and find joy with someone who you know you won't end up with.

Maybe that isn't so wrong at all.

I walked away from the film thinking that it showed another way of being. That perhaps we shouldn't see the skewed decisions we make about our relationships as huge mistakes to be shoved into our past. That perhaps this film is a celebration of what life is actually around - detours. In this sci - fi love story, Oona clearly and knowingly took a detour with Mikey (her love interest) and ended up finding much joy and friendship from the pairing. The lessons she learnt aren't something I myself can even articulate but I do know that she developed as a person in ways that helped her be a better partner for her eventual partner.

It's often said that humans are hedonistic creatures, driven by pleasure but I think it's much simpler than that.

We just want to be loved - and some of us are prepared to go on detours to experience that.

Ginger ginger apple

Today was so so fun :)

Went to the city for the first time in ages during daylight hours and explored some interesting shopping haunts with a friend.

A few new shops have popped up, especially in the new shopping complex developments on Pitt Street - Westfield and MidCity and can I say that I felt like I was wondering in a maze at one point because of how huge it all is!

Some highlights today included:

** Purchasing my first ever petite parfum by Urban Rituelle. It's called Ginger Apple which comes in the most adorable package and bottle...

The sizing of the actual bottle is ideal for carrying in your handbag (it's about 15 cms long) and the amount is reasonable for the prize ($13.95 for 12ml).

Mind you, this wasn't the actual reason I was drawn to this fragance whilst I was cruising around Forever New. The scent itself is so so so delicious! My first thought was seriously: "Yum!!" I don't know about you but I love the scent of apples and spice and the combination created by this brand is refreshingly sugary yet spiced!

Makes me feel like I'm nibbling on an apple pie ;)

Shades of grey

I just had a thought tonight as I was browsing those some photos: Grey is a colour that's often underrated.

The emo brother of silver, the washed out cousin of black... It's often seen as a bleak reflection of one's mood or at its best, a simple, uncomplicated neutral.

But for me personally, grey is the colour that moves me the most.

I took this picture on a bus last week on my way to Canberra to see a dear friend from high school. The grey sky looked like it would crack open at any moment, bits of blue peeking out reminding me of simpler times, but I remember the scene reminding me of a poignant moment I had walking by myself in Iwaki Park, Japan when I was visiting another dear friend of mine two years ago. It wasn't that anything spectacular occurred at the time. It was simply because the green and the grey was so beautiful that I nearly cried and I didn't know why.

Two years on, I felt that same emotion and it's odd that the greyness of the clouds was what struck me the most.

Likewise, there was a song I heard on the radio on Saturday by a wonderfully progressive American group called Diddy Dirty-Money - Ass on the Floor.

Having been a huge fan of this relatively new group consisting of its founder Sean "Diddy" Combs, along with Dawn Richard and Kalenna Harper, I love that their music embodies what others have described as "futuristic soul." It's unusual, refreshing and the clips are equally beautiful.

I wanted to share this clip because its use of cool shades, especially the greys, are absolutely stunning. It's not at all alienating as you'd expect - the overall effect goes to show that grey is one of the most intriguing and misunderstood colours of the colour scheme.

Continuing on this random note, I was compelled to do a bit of beading and try to create some pieces of jewellery for fun.

The cutest beads were probably the gold ones I bought from Lincraft and the purple organza roses.

I absolutely love organza.

For those not so familiar with the material, organza is a thin, sheer fabric often made of silk and the effect is astonishingly pretty. Check it out when you have a chance but trust me when I say that it's one of the prettiest fabrics out there :)

Shades of green tea lattes and clarity

Apologises all for being missing in action for the past week. Work’s been crazy with several mishaps, much laminating and classroom training but my mind’s always off with the fairies thinking about pretty panties and bras.
Trust me on that ;)
However it sounds odd but another thing that’s been on my mind has been the thought of green tea lattes.
Haha, now how can I explain that without sounding more weird?
Let’s put it this way: I love green tea lattes as much as I love lingerie. On days where I’m particularly stressed and simply want to veg out, there’s nothing I love the more than vegging out with a warm cup of green tea and milky goodness.
My love for it stemmed from my initial discovery of green tea (fullstop) when I visited Japan for the first time when I was 16. My host family was forever pouring me cups of it during meals and I grew to like it plus realised that my skin was becoming clearer by the day!
I continued to drink green tea after I came back to Australia but last year sipped my first green tea latte from Starbucks (freshly brewed and recommended by my friend Annie).  I haven’t looked back since and am officially a lover of lingerie AND green tea!
To celebrate the wonderfulness of green tea lattes I wanted to post up my favourite green tea coloured lingerie...

This is a gorgeous piece called Columbe by luxury lingerie company princesse TAM TAM.
I discovered this amazingly cute brand while I checking out a hot lingerie spread featured in a back issue of Marie Claire. I was immediately drawn to the flirty femininity of their lingerie and I loved its sheerness and understated vintage, floral prints. It's bliss!
On other news, I was in a rough patch before but have found that I've reached the lightest, most positive spot I've been in in months. Reflection is a great thing but it's not until things happen that clarity and ephiphanies emerge. All I can say is that I'm really lucky to have the friends that I have in my life so thank you :) You make my day, week and years in a way that noone else can, will, nor should. Suddenly it's clear where I want to be and it is here.
There's a particular song which captures how I'm feeling at the moment. It's not the actual lyrics sung by Miss Alexis Jordan in her track Good Girl, but the infectiousness of the beat and its effect on me whenever I hear it.
I feel giddy!

Lovely lovely layers...

It's a known fact that lingerie is underwear. Underwear is underwear is underwear. But I never thought of lingerie in terms of layers until I came across a lovely brand called The Lake and Stars.

This brand charmed me straightaway. Thoughtfully created by young US designers Nikki Dekker and Maayan Zilberman, this line cleverly mixes clean lines with classic shapes in silk chiffons, herringbone and arygle nets to create beautifully understated underwear.

I love that this brand is so refreshingly quiet. Quiet in a way that contrasts with say the loudness of say Deborah Marquit and Ravijour's lingerie.

I love the flowiness of this piece and those bottoms are cute! Sleeping in that would be bliss...

Now this piece featured above, Genius Romper by The Lake and Stars is absolutely stunning. It was first featured in Sex and the City movie and as you can see, is like no other lingerie piece around! Made from cotton, it has silk ribbon details on the front, has a comfortable elastic waist and elastic straps. To complete this cute little piece, there's a keyhole on the back! Very unusual but also very cute!

The Lake and Stars is sold around the world in Hong Kong, the US, Japan and lucky for us Australians, in Sydney by a store called the Little FlirtCheck it out with you have a chance!

Fluorescent lingerie?! (That's just odd...)

Would you believe it...?! Well it's actually quite sexy!

I was browsing through a few lingerie sites and stumbled across a very intriguing intimate apparel designer called Deborah Marquit.

My first glimpse of her designs literally stopped me in my tracks:

It was the vibrancy of the colours - practically popping from this snapshot that made me want to learn more about this designer. I don't know about you but the sheerness of the purple bra contrasted with the honeysuckle pink against the opaque floral print is just downright kooky! It's so odd but the effect of such strange contrasts turns out to be some serious eye candy!

So I was compelled to start exploring...

My findings on Deborah Marquit after a bit of good ol' digging:

  • Her pieces became infamous after a Miss Carrie Bradshaw showed it off under black lights in Season Four of one of my favourite shows Sex and the City.
  • For over 25 years she's been using unstandard materials like camouflage print in cotton twill and vinyl with bright palettes and patterns to produce the most visually surreal bras and bottoms on the market.
  • She is driven by the philosophy that wearing these fluorescent colours 'reveres the body pleasing the psyche by reflecting light to and from the body.' (Now that's a direct psychoanalytical quote from her website!)
I don't know about you but I never imagined that lingerie could be tied so closely with psychology! After three years of studying psych, I really wish we'd had a unit of study titled the psychology of lingerie!

Check her range out...

This shade of emerald green is one colour I honestly believe we don't see enough of in everyday life. In the form of a bra set, this colour just pops!

Gossip Girl's Leighton Leester modelling a bra produced by her...

Deborah Marquit's fusion of materials, cuts and vibrant colours make this line one I'll definitely check out if I go to the US...Enjoy!

On a random note I'm still in a highly musical mood and am listening to some great tracks which make me smile.

Amerie featuring Eve - 1 thing: I love that she uses the numeral 1 rather than the word.

Kayne West and Pusha T- Runaway: This song sent chills down my spine when I heard it on my way home from work. Love that they use the word doosh and jerkoffs... It's refreshing to hear such an anti-love song! ;)

Hellogoodbye - Here in Your Arms: This song is so likeable. It meant alot of me back in the day but now it's just one of those songs that makes me smile the moment I hear it out of the blue. They never play this track on the radio but perhaps it's because it's such a rarity that makes it so special. Check it out! So pretty!

Tiesto featuring Christian Burns - In the Dark: I actually came across this track during my first year of uni when I used to do spin classes every week at my gym. I was fully obsessed with those classes - not so much for my own fitness but because of the chance to sweat whilst listening to some freaking awesome tracks like this one :)

Video Blitz!

Can I just say: Tonight's drive home from work was awesome. The radio kept playing good song after good song and I've arrived home in a musical mood.

Just commenced on a itunes downloading blitz, googling and clicking 'buy' on all the songs I've heard and liked in the past weeks. Surely clicking $1.69 20 times can't be cheap?

Anyway, here's some songs I'm currently crushing on :)

Fabolous - You be Killing Em: This song is hot. I've had it as my ringtone for the past few months simply because I love the riff at the beginning. Makes answering my phone fun because I get to hear this song. Also, certainly helps that the clip is classy!

Jeremih featuring 50 Cent - Down On Me: This beat for this track was what drew me in initially. I heard it one Sunday night on a US radio show I love listening to on my way home from work after a long day and was hooked! The lyrics are incredibly dirty and obscene in the traditional of Jeremih but I choose to ignore their meaning and to listen just to the beat. Very, very sexy!

Aston Martin Music - Rick Ross featuring Drake and Chrisette Michele: To be honest the best parts of this track are when Chrisette sings her part and when Drake raps - purely because it's Drake rapping ;)

Finally, there's a beautiful little track by Nicki Minaj featuring Drake called Moment 4 Life. The clip is just as beautiful as the track itself. Very catchy and intriguing. I've been listening to this song over and over again and haven't gotten sick of it at all.

Slinky and sweet treats

I was exploring a few online stores for lingerie pieces and came across some beautiful pieces from one of the best brands out on the Australian market Elle Macpherson Intimates.

This range is unbelievable. It is so pretty that I honestly wouldn't want to cover it up!

The colours are bright and fresh, the cuts are simple yet sexy, and there's always captivatingly cute pieces in each collection released.

One that caught my eye straightaway was the Dot to Dot Delight bra which made my eyes pop because it is so adorable.

This hot little contour bra has a cute lace triming and is just as comfortable as it is sexy.

It comes with matching microfibre bottoms - either in a bikini or G String form, which look the same from the front.

Then we have her Fly Butterfly Fly collection which is just as delectable. I love the lace and the slinkiness of this piece. I was practically drooling.

Lovers of shades of purple, enjoy...

And for those who are a bit environmentally friendly...

As you can see this collection comes in a range of colours such as lilac, black, green, and a deep red but the one that caught my eye as a bit unusual was the orange coloured bra in this range.

Maybe because my job requires me to wear orange but I honestly think that this bra is absolutely gorgeous! The offwhite lace trimming adds an intricacy to this bra which is lovely and the sleekness of the orange material makes you feel luxurious which is exactly how lingerie should make us feel! I'm infatuated with this contrast of colours.

On a similar note, I really like the look of Elle's Sumptuous range. It comes in one colour only but the effect of the safron yellow silk coupled with the nude stretch lace is incredibly hot in a kooky way.

Even the nude bow at the front is gorgeous.

The Matahari range was yet another one that caught my eye... Certainly pricier with the bra alone ranging in the 80AU plus category but that's probably the price you pay for the handmade detail that's gone into it: little glistening sequins have been handsewn onto this bra for effect.

Finally if you weren't already in love with Elle Macpherson by now, check out her Afterwear collection and no doubt you will be. It's a varied array of incredibly comfortable loungewear and sleepwear. Melt into the beautiful Dusk Till Dawn nightgown pictured below and feel pretty in pink with the lace adorned neckline and bra back design.

However my personal favourite woulde definitely be her Cloud Swing chemise (pictured below). It's a balconette bra and panty set which is so simplistic, it's enchanting. I'm loving the bright orange trimming!

On a totally random note...

I really love the music video of Rihanna and Drake's song 'What's My Name?'

I can't pinpoint exactly what I love about the MV but there's something about the mixture of the colours, the fact that Rihanna wears what could easily look hideous on a normal person with such confidence it looks hot, and the fact that I am also in love with Drake.

Others have tried long and hard to convince me that he's not an aesthetically pleasing man but that's not my concern.

Listen to his voice, lyrics and musical arrangements in songs on his album Thank Me Later in tracks like 'Shut It Down' ft The Dream, 'Karaoke' and 'Up All Night' then tell me he isn't hot.

Yep, I thought so.

Finally, call me odd but I really really like the woolly blue jumper Rihanna wears in parts of this clip. The colour is lovely and the bagginess of the jumper makes it uniquely cute.

What could be sweeter than Peach John?

Tough question. For those who are familiar with Tokyo-based lingerie brand Peach John, the answer would be not much at all.

It's a brand virtually unknown in the Western world but this brand is absolutely huge in Japan, often cited as Japan's answer to Victoria's Secret. The pieces are very fresh and extremely flirty and I think that's what I really like about this brand. I love that it's a bit tongue in cheek and the even the name itself Peach John (also known as PJ) rings true of this spirit.

Now this piece on the other is completely different but that's exactly why I like it. It's intriguingly odd but somehow works exuding sexiness with a touch of cute with the leopard print finish!

If you've read the rest of my blog and perved on some of the pics posted, it's no surprise what I like about these two pieces. I think that pastels work really well when it comes to bras and bottoms. Especially when its a mix of two gorgeous colours like these pieces - it instantly makes me think of candy! I have this bra which I absolutely love. I remember I bought it at this wonderful little store in Strathfield called Naked Truth (in Strathfield Plaza). Anyway it was a pale yellow colour but had this cute light blue dotted trimming. The effect was completely cute which is exactly why I bought it in the first place! Definitely one of my best buys and I don't even remember the brand :( Oh well, I will keep hoping I'll stumble across it again!

Finally, letting you in on a little secret.

I hoping to go to Asia later in the year to check out Hong Kong, Shanghai and Japan again and it'd be great to check out Peach John stores while I'm there. There's stores throughout Japan and the brand also even diversified into the lucrative Chinese intimate apparel market with stores in Hong Kong and Shanghai. To me, that's exciting!

If you find these pieces as hot as I do check out Peach John's website.
Enjoy!

Introducing the Pleasure State My Fit Lace Plunge Bra

As you all know I have a massive crush on Pleasure State pieces.

One piece I'm a big fan of is the Pleasure State My Fit Lace Plunge Bra.

What I like so much about this piece is that it's such a comfortable push up bra with a beautifully designed lace overlay. When I saw it on the rack on Myer I was immediately drawn to it because it's not at all tacky like other lace bras I've seen around. The design is intricate yet thoughtful and there is a skin coloured bra underneath the lace overlay which makes it not at all irritating on the skin.

I also love the fact that the bra can be purchased with bottoms which are just as gorgeous.

For instance if you're feeling a bit boyish, couple your My Fit Lace Plunge Bra with this cheeky pair of Pleasure State My Fit Lace Brazilian. It's a great fit with a cotton gusset designed for comfort.

On the other hand, if you wanting to feel a little sexy, there's the option of coupling your Lace Plunge Bra with the Pleasure State My Fit Lace Lace Thong.

Unlike other thongs this piece is surprisingly comfortable and doesn't provoke this urge every two minutes to adjust. On a much shallower note, it's got a lovely lace design on it ;)

These pieces are available in a number of colours so check them out at your closest Myer and see which ones tickle your fancy. Black, red, white plus more, I'm sure you become as smitten as I am!
